Classes and Workshops
Welcome to Charleville Art Studio — a space to discover, live and feel through visual expression.
Here, art isn’t just something we teach. It’s something we experience together.
Our classes and workshops are designed to meet you — or your young artist — exactly where you are. Whether you're a teen refining your skills, a child bursting with ideas, or an adult craving a creative outlet in your week, this is a place where your curiosity leads the way.
🌿 What Makes Our Classes Different
Our term-based classes unfold slowly and intentionally, giving students time to explore, experiment and grow. Rather than working through rigid lessons, students shape the journey — choosing mediums, themes or ideas that speak to them. Our role is to guide, support and open doors, not dictate the destination.
🎨 Monthly Workshops — A Chance to Play
Each month we offer hands-on workshops inspired by new themes, materials or artistic concepts. These sessions are for anyone who wants to dip a toe in, try something bold, or feel creatively recharged — without needing a long-term commitment. Think of them as mini creative adventures.
🌈 A Studio That Feels Like Home
Charleville Art Studio is built on the belief that creativity connects us — to ourselves, to each other, and to our community. Throughout the year you’ll find special events, seasonal workshops and moments of shared art-making that celebrate expression in all its forms.
- Termly classes -
Our classes are separated into developmentally appropriate stages which gives me the scope to plan engaging an diverse sessions that reach every artist.
Mini Makers (Ages 2–5)
Mini Makers is a playful, hands-on introduction to art for our youngest creatives. Classes focus on exploration, sensory experiences, and building confidence with materials through open-ended activities and guided play. Children explore painting, drawing, collage, and sensory materials while developing early creative skills, coordination, and focus. The emphasis is on enjoying the process of making, with freedom to explore and no pressure to create finished outcomes.
Young Creators (Prep – Year 3)
Our Young Creators classes focus on exploration, play, and building confidence with materials. Children are encouraged to experiment, make marks, try new tools, and express ideas in their own way, with gentle guidance and plenty of time to explore. The emphasis is on enjoying the process of making and developing foundational creative skills.
Emerging Artists (Years 4 – 6)
Emerging Artists build on their creative foundations by developing skills, ideas, and independence. Students explore a wider range of materials and techniques, begin planning and refining their work, and are supported to experiment and problem-solve. Classes balance guided learning with creative choice, helping students grow in confidence and intention.
Atelier Group (High School)
The Atelier Group supports students to develop a more independent and personal art practice. Classes focus on idea development, skill refinement, and sustained projects, with students encouraged to explore concepts, materials, and techniques in depth. This group emphasises creative thinking, self-direction, and building a strong individual voice.
Student Explorers (Adults)
Student Explorers classes are designed for adults seeking a thoughtful, supportive space to explore their creativity. Participants work at their own pace, developing skills, ideas, and confidence through guided instruction and self-directed projects. Classes value process, reflection, and personal creative goals, whether students are beginners or returning to art-making.
